todays healthy dose of randomness

the good news is that i'm down to under 300 pictures on my phone.
not to mention what's on the big camera, but you know.

park time!
we've really tried to soak up as much of this as possible before the long, dark, cold months of winter come.
we don't usually go to the wooden park sans friends, but this time we did.
it was different, a lot quieter, but still fun.
just because *hallelujah* that she's potty trained.
and because it's funny.
(ps - I have a similar picture of lexi, only instead of smiling, she is crying that she has such a terrible mother that would take a picture of her on the potty. never ceases to amaze me how different kids are!)
thank you miley cyrus. apparently delaney thinks smiling for pictures is awkward too.
this reminds me of grandma shark, do, do, do, do, do, do, grandma shark!
Christian had his last fall ball game on Monday night. it was another rough season. we couldn't remember if they'd won their first game, or if that was last season. either way, that was the only game that they even came close to winning.
#bummer.
chris played catcher a lot this season. that's a tough job and a lot of runs were let in, but this is a learning league and he definitely learned a lot!
after game mcdonalds with da girls.
and the photographers finger. ;)
the buxtons had a byu game watching night and Jodi sent me this. love that boy.
addie likes to combine working out with crafts. she's a modern girl.
laney is obsessed with ipads and phones. she loves starfall and know how to play all the games now, even memory. after each card she turns over, even if it's not a match she claps, and then when she actually makes a match she claps and says "i did it!" it's pretty cute. it's not pretty cute when she whines and cries for a phone or "compuder."
hoping we get over this phase soon.

also, matt's convinced Delaney permanently damaged her face right between her eyes when she got that giant lump. she had hit it again and you can see the bruise, but then when she cries she gets a little dimple there. we'll ask the dr when we go for her 2-year-check-up in a few months. and when we ask her where her owwie is she points right between her eyes.
just because she's cute.
at first glance I thought they were playing together at the library, but upon further investigation, laney is trying to steal the puzzle and Frankie is holding it down so she can't. gotta love siblings!
she loves chillin' on this little couch with her juicey and any random collection she fancies. this day it was Halloween bags. she'd walk around with all the 7 bags that we have. crazy girl.
she digs for gold!
and cheeses it up. and edits pictures too, because i didn't make this black and white.
I stole this from twitter. a moms gotta do what a moms gotta do.
#stalker.
waiting for the bus. and Halloween.
all the kids in the bus line try to be the first to spot the bus coming around the corner and then shout "bus!" and then argue about who shouted "bus!" first. addie takes this challenge very seriously.
one day when preschool was at alecia's house Christina and I went for a run. delaney and I hung out to wait for a few minutes.
uh oh, an angry elf! and a merida wig too.
she and riley went for a ride in the bob while we ran. they were both asleep at one point.
and then we hit target. it's so nice running errands with just one! preschool time is good for errand running. :)
we occasionally let her ride forward facing. she loves it, but it keeps her awake since there's so much to look at.
our neighbor who has the bus stop in front of her house also has a cat. the girls love the cat and chase him all around. sometimes it's hard to remember that this is their home and their driveway, because the girls just love to run around and chase kitties under their car and up on their porch. I try to keep them contained, but those two are animal lovers!
after years of saying I was going to, I finally made strawberry freezer jam! it was super easy and is super yummy! except for chris who said it was "gross." I don't even think he's tried it, I don't know where he got that idea from. this was just a few days before alecia and I canned applesauce, I was just feeling so domestic and accomplished!
and finally, addie got her second cavity filled. the laughing gas didn't work as well this time and she was in some pain. poor baby. I pray that this isn't the start of a long and dreaded relationship with the dentist.
and this ends this installment of random catch-up pictures.
