at church on sunday chris asked if we were going to the temple visitors center night of music and inspiration because he wanted to go. i hadn't planned on it, like at all, but how could i say no??? so we made the 2 hour trek, after the 3 hours of church, and had a really wonderful evening. we enjoyed elder fuller's performance.
and it was fun to see elder rushton again.
we walked around and saw the few trees that were already decorated. i call this one the rio de janiero carnival tree.
the other night the youth had a family history activity and chris rather grumpily called me and asked why he wasn't connected to anyone on his family tree. i went and checked and he is connected on mine, along with the other 4 kiddos. so at the visitors center he showed me how he was out there by himself, all alone. i thought it was one of the saddest (and kinda funniest) things i've ever seen, this lone person, all by themselves on their family tree. wonder why that is?
we also saw elder vaterlaus and not elder anderson (who leaves for home in january!) who had rsvp'd.
on my list of christmassy things to do is to take the family up to see the christmas lights at the temple. happiness. :)
