50 days

christmas is coming and so are the toy catalogs.

 

  so i let them circle everything they thought "looked cool." i cannot stand hearing my kids say "i want!" and "can i get?" they were very carefully picking all the things that "looked cool."

delaney loves her lovey. like, loves loves. every morning and naptime she drapes it over the edge of her crib and then grabs it up when we pick her up.

on sunday alexis informed us that she was going to mccombs alone.

 okay, there. 

they spoiled her with roast and a campfire.

 i always say it's good to have good friends.

i came downstairs one evening and found christian watching tv with a pile of candy wrappers next to him.

we celebrated our 50th day of school yesterday. 50 days already! it's going so fast!

frankie has been doing really good with her schoolwork lately.

i can't even remember the last time she said "i can't." go frankie, go!

she does not like zip up jammie's with feet. she fights putting them on and then takes them off as soon as she gets a chance. i hope she gets over her abhorrence of them, there's not a lot that's cuter than a baby in footie jams!

on monday lexi put delaney down for a nap.

ashby came to play on monday. frankie wasn't in the best mood and wasn't the best hostess. hate when that happens. it didn't seem to bother ashby too much, new toys are new toys, after all.

when addie got home we made our first ever batch of homemade play dough.

super easy and 3 super happy girls!

a couple weeks ago addie and i went on a date to mcdonalds and she got a glynda the good witch from the wizard of oz happy meal toy. so during our date i told her the story and little miss weather was fascinated! she loves talking about earthquake, hurricane, and tornado drills at her school, so a movie with a tornado in it? awesome sauce!

we finally watched it the other day,

("mommy, when is the tornado coming again?")

and inside the dvd case was lexi's ballet version of the wizard of oz. since we've got two budding ballerinas, we had to watch it! the blue dress she wore has become a favorite dress up dress for our girls and pretty much any girl that comes over. it was pretty fun to see how cute she was! that was 7+ years ago!

frankie hates to be left behind when we go to the bus stop, even on days like today when daddy is home. she hurried to get her robe on and then daddy equipped her with cowboy boots and a knit cap.

we met up with the playgroupers (which lately has consisted of sarah, alecia, and i) at the jump yard for some bouncey house fun. frankie was obsessed with reading the books, but i told her she needed to bounce. 

 

smart girl found a way to combine the two.

laney liked it okay. she did a lot of running outside of the bouncey houses and a lot of begging for my phone (always fun).

tonight alexis went to severna for the championship soccer game. one of the dads chartered a bus to drive 50 of their closest friends up. alexis happened to be in that group. :)

frankie has been hissing at us lately. 

as in "no, you may not have ice cream until you eat your dinner."

chris wanted me to drive him to his friends house to work on yearbook stuff, so he helped frankie's eating along. it would be a lot cuter if it wasn't so annoying. ;)

 

matt is working till 8 all this week. that means he can go in a little later, but it's all just homework time, so it doesn't really affect us at all. i have been pretty pooped all day on account of staying up to blog until 1:00am only to get up with the kids at 5:30. i've been working out in the mornings, but not today. today i kissed the kids goodbye and crawled my happy booty back into bed for another hour till i had to get addie up.
