saturday

since daddy was home this week i got to fly solo to take addie to ballet. sarah and i are gonna take turns driving, so we picked up abby and were on our way.
they are so cute. as we walked in to the building they were talking about how they should tell everyone they are sisters. ;) big ballerinas.
after ballet we went shopping for family pictures and i finally got our ensembles all laid out. i love when family pictures are done, i hate the prep.
when we got home chris and addie worked on her family project - creating a disguise for tom the turkey. we decided to make him a ballerina turkey and addie had the good idea to use tissue paper to make his leotard and tutu.
up until now, just addie and i have worked on her "family" projects. so i specifically said i wanted daddy to help, but since christian was standing right there he jumped in. despite a few creative snafu's ("can i color his head yellow?) i think it turned out really cute. and daddy came in to help with our creative differences and finish up. hooray for working together.
taking pictures was fun. we stayed in our neighborhood and it was just beautiful.
and cold. beautiful and very, very cold. don't let this big goofy smile fool ya. she was ok for a few minutes but then turned into a big baby grump.
"no i will not smile for the camera. thanks for asking."
creative teen photo dodging.
even frankie and addie were being turkeys. they would run around between shots and make their patented weird faces. like this.
she is so silly.
jodi texted me that night after doing some editing and said this was her favorite face of the evening. oh, these kids.
that night alexis and chris rented the host (i hadn't seen or read it, but it was very thought provoking) and we all watched it together. jordan and kimmey came over. can't we just rent movies every weekend and all happily stay-in together? maybe we'll institute that rule as the little girls get bigger. so much less worry that way.

We had to disguise a turkey too and Lily also chose to make him a ballerina. :) Great minds!
