happy veterans day!

and a welcome day off of work and school it was. my sailor and i woke up at 7, and even though addie and frankie were already awake (movie time!) went for a long run down to the wharf. there is a point in every run (sometimes several) where i just feel like i'm gonna die, i can't go another step, i'm gonna fall over and have to call someone to come pick me up. usually if i can get past those moments, i'm good for another few miles. and then it all repeats. i remember when neighbor (and trainer) dee told me that happened to her too, and i thought, ahhh, so that's normal, i'm normal. it was a gorgeous morning for a run!

josh had his eagle project at 1, matt had some homework and also wanted to hit up some veterans day free meals, and alecia had invited us to the jump yard. i really didn't want to go (we were just there last week) but i thought it would be nice to get the girls out of the house and also to let addie play there since she missed it on account of kindergarten. (messes with everything!) chris opted to tag along with me rather than go to red robin for lunch. silly boy loves his mama. ;) he hung out in the quiet room and bummed their free wifi. ("mom, i found a site where you can download songs for free!")

delaney got right into the playing this time. she was all like, i'm a big kid, i know what i'm doing.

there were some very sweet (and maybe a little overbearing) baby loving kids there who were all about laney. they wanted to help her (they didn't get the memo that she is a big girl!) and chase her and hold her. there's her friend in the green and laney's (kind of) playfully hiding from him.

the jump yard has a (very annoying) no food rule, unless you buy their food. and when you've popped delicious smelling popcorn, who's not gonna want to buy some. so we scrounged through our car and came up with the $5 to buy a bucket. the kids were in heaven. :)

we had a nice time playing with our friends. :)
picture retake day is coming up and we are jumping on it. poor addie was poison ivy girl for the last pics, sooooo yeah.

delaney climbed in the doll stroller and started acting silly, and i just couldn't pick a fav. so here's 4 of my fav's. (i took about 10)

this is the end of her very energetic "moooooooo!" you should ask her what a cow says sometime, it's very cute.

she took a late nap, so then was up late. it's becoming such a vicious cycle with her! good thing she's always in such a good mood at night!

 

alexis worked a double and then enjoyed a free order of chicken tenders. chris and matt helped out at the eagle project until 6, then hit up walmart and got into traffic from a bad accident. when everyone finally got home at 7 we did a quick fhe (not that the girls will sit through much longer, but still) and off to bed they went.
