day 3's first stop was at cove point out in calvert county. we were so excited to meet one of the twins there! we had first heard about the lighthouse twins on our mothers day trip. they travel around to different lighthouses and spend time volunteering. awesomeness! lauren was so sweet and just had to laugh at how excited we were to meet her.
we made some friends, so we took some pictures for them and they took some for us. and i just noticed those clouds, what a picture perfect picture!
breaking all the rules by climbing the steps. i hope that someday we'll be able to climb cove point, but since it's still an active aid to navigation, i don't think that will be any time soon.
lighthouse stairs have such a beauty about them.
not sure what this picture is all about, but that building behind me is now a duplex that you can rent and spend the night in a lighthouse. they raffled one night for the challenge, so we got to talk to the people that stayed there and they said how cool it was. maybe someday. :)
we met another couple of girlfriends that asked if they could follow us out to drum point. us lighthousers gotta stick together! ;)
