Summer 2018 Day #30

Chilly swimming at East Beach in San Francisco, more exploring at Lands End, and dinner at Facebook. Only one more full day with my little crew!

I forgot how windy it gets in SF. These brave girls pushed through the pain for some fun.
Midair sand digger. Alcatraz Island in the background.

I love the beach so much, and I remember halfway through our time in California feeling like I needed to spend the rest of our time at the beach. And we did spend a lot of days. I had researched several different beaches and we hit them up.
I never think the ship is gonna make it under the bridge, but it always does.

Sad little Lighthouse ruins out there.

It was cold and we didn’t last super long. I had wanted to check out the Sutro Bathes at Lands End, and since we were close, we headed over.
We explored the Sutro baths and caves at Lands End.

The Sutro Baths was a huge saltwater swimming pool complex in the late 1800’s, but they burned down in the 60’s and now they’re just fun ruins to explore.

The caves were loud and cold to walk through, but when we could see light at the end we were fine. We needed that reassurance that it would end soon, just like in real life.

🤷‍♀️
Workin’ it.
Then we made a quick stop to see the paragliders at Fort Funston. The kids were all ready to suit up and take off!
So chilly!

They love each other.

After dinner at Facebook we walked the rooftop gardens and the kids loved this cool swing.
And this cool green space. They could have stayed up there all night, too bad they closed at 8. Then as we left we set off the emergency alarm, so, yay! Go us! 🚨🤷‍♀️😂
