Summer 2018 Day #26

Another amazing lunch at Facebook, library time, Winchester Mystery House, and capped the night with a pajama walk.

Facebook let’s their chefs get creative so there are always delicious, unique, and organic options. I don’t have a clue what that dish is, but it looks delicious.👆🏼
We went to a brand new building with a rooftop terrace the kids all loved and made me feel faint. #ihateheights
They each got to make buttons at the button making station. Oh Facebook, you are amazing.

They were all happy and quiet’ish while they worked.

And who doesn’t need more buttons?

This is a picture of kids getting along, and that was priceless circa summer of 2018.

We had lots of deep convo about the motivational signs at Fb. They’re pretty awesome.

All the likes.

And with this crew all the emotions. All. Of. Them. All. Day. Long.

We were a loud and fun crew every time we went to Facebook. Who wouldn’t want 5 kids bulldozing their way through your workplace?
What’s on my mind? Missing home, of course! And how about that amazing to scale drawing?!?

This library is high tech. You scan your books to return then and then watch as they travel on a conveyor belt. I wonder if our new library will be this cool.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know if our new library looks like this because it was never able to open fully. 😩

The Winchester Mystery House tour about undid the frog. She did not appreciate the importance of visiting on Friday the 13th either.
They loved it!

Amy and I took alexis and Christian there years ago and it was fun to go back.

Look at these gorgeous windows!

After her husband and baby daughter died, Sarah Winchester saw a psychic that told her to move west, build a house, and never stop building for her husband and all the people that had been killed by Winchester rifles.

The house is super quirky. There are doors to nowhere, the stair steps are super tiny because she was super short, and it’s also supposed to be super haunted.
The kids were a little spooked, but it’s not really a scary tour. They do a flashlight tour on Friday the 13th, but that would not have worked for our crew.

And finally pajama walk to check out the fairy houses around their cute neighborhood. #bringingittomaryland

2020 me would like to report that we did bring fairy houses to the LG, and it has been very slow to takeoff, but even this morning we found a new fairy house on the green, so it’s still on the runway.

How cute is this? We loved it!
