life saving stations are like fire departments, but for the ocean.
they are pretty cool, and most have a little lookout up top, much like a lighthouse.
this one was fun because we met some bikers. turns out bikers enjoy lighthouse challenges. it makes sense, because it's all about getting places quickly, and that's basically what bikers do. i mean, not always quickly, but just the joy being in the ride. there were several fun groups of bikers participating in this challenge.
after this we only had one long drive back to atlantic city to absecon lighthouse, and then we were done for the day! we were exhausted and hungry, but still having fun. despite some bouts of bad moods here and there. ;)
