d's day - part 2

i wanted to do something a little different with the cupcakes for delaney and ellie's playgroup party. cupcakes+playgroup=playgroup party. so i pinterested for a few minutes and found these cute cookie monsters that didn't look too difficult.

delaney doesn't even really know cookie monster, other than a few books, but he's always fun, right? i bought a grass wilton tip, some chips ahoy, and went to town. i am not the most creative lady, but i do like decorating cupcakes. i didn't have anything for their eyes, so i piped some white frosting and used chocolate chips. i think they came out pretty good. i'd even dare to say i nailed it. :)

we had a really fun playgroup. we haven't had many lately and our turnout has been spotty lately, but we had a big and fun group that day.

we played and played and then came upstairs for cupcakes and to sing happy birthday to our birthday girls.

they were cute and shared the limelight very nicely with each other.

 frankie is a baby lovah! she found sweet little brandon and held him for as long as she could. like madonna with child. ;)

 it was a fun morning celebrating our sweet 3-year-olds. :)
