fresh new week

yesterday we had ellie over to play. it's so easy to watch her, she just blends right into our family and our routines. it's a great thing, our kid swaps! i am so thankful for my whole circle of moms, they are such a blessing to me.

i pta'd all.day.long. i am behind on tax stuff, mostly because i didn't get a lot of training and it's intimidating, but also because i got a letter a few weeks ago with a laundry list of things the state of maryland needs from our pta so we can maintain our charitable organization status. i'm not sure, (hello, mumbo-jumbo) but i think these were things that were not properly submitted last year. it's a headache.

delaney got another birthday card, this time from auntie allie. she was so excited!!!
"oooh another of these!" - she got $ from papa, so she's all professional with the green.
"3!"
"delaney, hold them up so i can see them! so i can see... let me see your card, hold it up... oh ok."
for our fhe treat, we had king cake. one of my favorite yw leaders was from lousiana and she's the one that introduced me to king cake and beignets, among other things. yummmy.
matt found the baby, so according to the rules on the box, he has to buy the king cake next year. he let addie "help" find the baby though, so she's all set to purchase. either way, we're covered.;) ps - i thought the finder of the baby had extra good luck all year.
this morning we had a 2-hour-delay. matt was up a lot last night coughing and generally not feeling well, so when he went back to bed, (can't fly in inclement weather) i went back to bed. i came down to find the girls sitting next to each other on the loveseat. i don't know why, but it struck me as sweet that being all alone in the family room, where they could sit anywhere, they'd sit next to each other. and these are their "smiles."
since it was a 2-hour-delay, but gymnastics wasn't delayed, we had to juggle. i texted D and asked if addie could ride the bus with her girls. addie was nervous to ride a new bus, but excited to get to play before school. then i went and picked ellie up so sarah could get abby on the bus. delaney had a tough start to gymnastics, but after a couple reset's, (timeouts) she came around.
and this is how they give each other hugs.
how did i not notice laney's pointdexter?
they are so cute when they are sweet to each other. :)
after gymnastics we did some shopping. it is very cold and wet outside. now i am trying to pep talk myself into doing some g-work. i caaaaan do it! :/

ps - last night laney and i were talking and she said "oh, your eyes are blue. and black! and white too." i love 3-year-olds.

pps - this morning when i got her out of her crib she informed me that her sheets were wet and she would need a new diaper because her diaper had just "flopped off." i hate when things just flop off ,out of the blue. so flopping annoying. ;)
