tatham life saving station, nj - light #24

our first official stop on sunday was this cute life saving station.
we loved the murals painted out front to look the way it would have looked when the garage doors were opened back in the day. so creative!
the life saving station doubles as a military museum and there were several cute retired military men and their wives running it. they were all cute and very chatty. they wouldn't give us our game pieces until we looked around. tricky little devils! ;) they told us tons of fun stories and showed us this old fashioned lifesaving device.
the whole place was done up really nicely, they've done a good job with it.

l - i want to stay and visit with those cute old guys
m - the military museum
s - all the old photographs, interesting history about how they saved shipwrecks and people

this was a very well kept little life saving station. like every where else we went that weekend, i wish we had more time there.
pretty view from the top.
double chin selfie? sure, why not.

next!
