tuckers island, nj - lighthouse #20

we had a little drive to the tuckers island lighthouse. it was afternoon and the only real meal we'd eaten since we'd left friday morning was the comfort inn breakfast. we snacked and got street food friday night, but sometimes a real meal can do wonders for moral.
tuckers island is a cute little lighthouse that guided traffic into little egg harbor. there was a dam on one side and cute little shops and houses on the other.
see? cute!
wish we'd had time to stop and eat some delicious creamy crab soup and crab dip. because those two things scream lighthouse weekend to me. it's all about the blue crab up in here, i love it!
my beautiful friends!
cute little lantern room.
this lighthouse is just a replica, the real one fell into the water.
like, there were pictures of it just toppling into the harbor, it was so weird.
uhh, uhh?
this had a cute museum on the 2nd floor, but on the 1st floor they had a creepy haunted house set up. no thank you, i'll take my fresnel lens, thank you very much.
been there, done that! whoot, whoot!
just cute.
there was a guy there taking pictures that we asked to take our picture. he went on to tell us that he was a professional photographer for several magazine before he'd retired.
he did a pretty good job, if i do say so maself.
m - marshy, cute shops, local fish market, very quaint!
s - all decorated halloweeny, gnats on top!
