Babysitting service

Our activity girl theme for this upcoming recognition night is service, so we've been spending lots of time talking about service and thinking of different ways we can serve those around us. Darlaiana and I came up with the idea to let the girls have a babysitting night, and we figured valentines day was a perfect time to offer.

Everything went so well! So good, that halfway through the evening, Darlaina said it was going so well that she was ready to have another one!
We had made 5 stations - games, movies, paper crafts, paint, and snacks. We had split the girls into babysitting groups, and then after about a half hour - when most of the kids were there, we split the kids into babysitter groups. The girls rotated with their kids, so they all went to all the stations. Matt and Jeff led the paint station, with the girl helpers, and Darlaina and I led the snack station and intervened when needed. There were only two sets of tears, both from big kids, and we only had to intervene and bring two kids to hang out with us in the snack room. It was really fabulous!
These are good guys! Spending a Friday night at their wives bidding. we are some lucky ladies!
Everyone was picked up by 8:30 and we got everything cleaned by 9! The girls were great, willing and cheerful and ready to help. We have such a good time with these girls, they are at such fun ages and really amazing young ladies. (:
