Summer 2018 Day #2

From FB: “The east coasters are slowly adjusting to west coast times. We spotted dozens of whales in Depoe Bay, hung out at The Devils Punchbowl, played in the frigid Salmon River, then played some more at dads beach in Lincoln City. Capped it all off with a Scout meeting, dinner, and shuffleboard. We wore papa out and we’ve got more adventure planned for tomorrow!”

Morning running on the beach is my absolute favorite. I’m sure it would get old, but it would take a good while.

We went to the downtown touristy stores for some souvenir window shopping. This baby beluga has always loved ocean dwellers.

They were so cute and little!

it was an amazing morning for whale watching! There’s just nothing else like it, it’s so cool! We saw several whales surface, fluke, and spout. and then I mistakenly told a woman we’d seen some breaching, but I actually didn’t know that meant they come all the way out of the water, so I fibbed. 🤷‍♀️

These friendly girls will talk to everyone. This poor lady knew all our travel plans within 3 minutes of meeting.

We also went to the Devils Punchbowl, and Addie took pictures of me taking pictures.

The Devils Punchbowl.

Next we went to a river area my dad thought the girls would like. And they did!

There’s some cold water in these parts!

These girls were in heaven!

So much fun and merriment.

They have always loved tree climbing. It’s so sad that they don’t have any trees in our yard.

D makes drip castles! Laura would be so proud!

It was windy and chilly, but the sand was warm!
