Day #82 and #83

Yesterday we did our school work and tutoring and then walked over to the Ainas to swim.

My dad came and took a bunch of pictures.

We had 11 kids in a pool probs not meant for 11, but for the most part they had fun.

D somehow got a turn with a mermaid tail. That’s a big deal.

They could have played all day!

The moms sat in the shade and caught up some more.

It was a really fun day for them.

And they splashed a ton. A lot of the yard was swampy. 😬

She’s flying.

We stayed till 4 and then figured we should go home and get dinner.

No one was ready to go, but we we there over 3 1:2 hours.

Trying to wrangle all these girls for a picture is never easy.

So goofy.

We took showers and Addie out on her unicorn mask Lily got her for her birthday. So shimmery!

Matt and I went on an impromptu date night. We got food at Yummy’s which I’ve wanted to eat at forever and we ate in the silver bullet. I made helped Matt take the enneagram test. He was a total good sport about it and it was really interesting to hear his answers. After dinner we went on a patented date night to... Lowe’s. We’ve done a lot of Lowe’s date nights. 😂 We decided during this COVID reprieve we’re gonna finish carpeting out upstairs. I am so excited and ready. They said they aren’t all that busy, so hopefully we can get it done soon. The girls were great at home and asked us to leave again as soon as we got home.

Delaney loves this cat blindfold and wears it all the time as a headband. 🤷‍♀️

She wanted to see her eyelashes. 😂

Today was Matt’s first day back to the Navy. It was weird having him gone all day. I went for a run, we did tutoring and started laundry. I finished my long list of calls and it was so nice to catch everybody. Then the girls and I went to my on a field trip. We got gas, hit up sonic for happy hour drinks, picked up postcards from Sarah G, then went to the Amish woodworker to see about getting a big patio table made. We visited with an older man that was ahead of us and he got a kick out of all our girls. D and A checked out the horses and we all melted. Wesley is going to call us with an estimate next week. They are backed up, which we knew they would be, but it will be nice to have it ordered.

We also stopped by an Amish nursery and picked a few plants. I spray painted some of our old planters, so now to fill them. When we got home we found a fun gift from Little Dorn Designs. It says “Creating takes Courage,” and it’s perfect for our girl.

It was so hot and we had such a good time running errands that we hit the pool when we got hone.

The water is warming up and felt so good.

The pool hasn’t been too busy and we’re so glad it’s open.

Addie and Frankie left at the 6:45 break because they wanted to watch a movie. D wanted to stay, but then we heard lightning, so we had to come home after a few minutes anyway, even though the lightning was in Virginia.

Tonight we are watching Inside Out in our safe, comfortable, cozy, air conditioned home.
