pooles island lighthouse

we cruised for another hour up the bay. we love sitting up at the front of the boat and getting the full view, and full experience. that also means that sometimes you get wet. when it starts splashing you just kind of think, oh, it will stop in just a minute. well, at one point it didn't stop splashing and we were pretty well soaked.

you can't tell as much from the front view, but check out my back. it was sopping wet!
first mate jerry came and brought me an extra shirt so i could dry off a little bit. oh such fun! seriously, it was warm and the water felt great!

we refueled at a cute little bay side stop and continued on our way.

 first view!!!
the pooles island lighthouse is the oldest still standing in maryland.

last year laura and i drove all around aberdeen proving grounds trying to catch a view of her, but all the roads were closed. that made seeing her up close all the sweeter!

i finally thought to put on my rain coat so i could thoroughly enjoy sitting up front again. :)
 looooooooove!!!
this light left us with a little bit of a sad, empty feeling. it's just so lonely out there all by itself.
and it's just so cute and little! someday we'll climb aboard you, you cute little thang!
