bloody point bar lighthouse

the last light of our cruise was the bloody point bar.

not sure why the point of land on kent island was named bloody point originally, other than that it does actually have a bloody history. from native american massacres to finally a fire on the lighthouse, this place has had a crazy and bloody history.
the lighthouse sits in 7 feet of water, but just a few yards away are some of the bays deepest channels at 175ft. crazy, right?
like sharps island, this light has a definite tilt to it. not as bad as sharps, but still tilted.
love how the birds have claimed it!
this light was gutted after the fire that nearly killed it's lighthouse keepers in 1960.
t'was a great day on the bay!
this is a smart look for me.
laura took this to send to alexis and christian. my babies bought this jacket for me for christmas and she wanted them to know that i love it and use it.
