Summer 2018 Day #46

Quiet and productive day over here. Still feeling blessed. Nanny Mary kept the girls happy, Mama Dari lent us her trailer, and Mama Debby brought dinner. We’re figuring this out with lots of help. 💕

A little early morning carpet removal, anyone?
Soggy carpet and padding = gross and stinky. And we found some frogs amongst the flood carnage.

Cake for breakfast = delicious and satisfying
Neither of us could sleep, so we got up super early and had the carpet and pad completely pulled up and damaged goods dropped off to the dump before 1. Pretty good teamwork.

It was a lot of work. I actually still get anxiety about water leaks/floods. Since the great flood of 2018 we put in a hydraulic sump pump, upgraded our grinder pump, and are working on plans for French drains and fixing the grading of our yard.

The dump. I don’t know, I don’t have any words, it’s gross.

Maybe nanny took them to the library? I don’t really remember seeing the girls much at all which was sups helpful.
And more of my late night drywall buddy. Home ownership is fun.
