after our cruise, we headed over to fort monroe, home to the old point comfort lighthouse, to catch a view of the thimble shoal lighthouse.
that's 3.5 miles away with dads nice lens.
so lonely out there. i would looooove to go out to these lights and climb aboard. it breaks my heart to think of all of them just abandoned haphazardly. i wish someone like bill gates, or oprah winfrey would take up lighthousing and restore them all. a lighthousers dream. ;)
fort monroe is a happening place on the weekends.
