A day at the pool

yesterday we spent another day at the pool. this little sweet frog put her head under (like she does) and bam! started swimming! addie did the same thing 2 years ago and i thought it was just a fluke, but i guess that's just what happens. she was sooooo proud of herself!
the swimmer!
the water was c-to-the-old so lady lanes stayed in the shallow water and played near me.
going to the pool is getting easier and easier. i don't even feel like i have to sit on the steps all the time anymore. i usually do, but i don't think anyone will drown if i walk to the table and come right back anymore. it's pretty amazing.
our favorite lifeguard was working, so that was fun.
he cannon-balled off his tall lifeguard station at least twice, and at one point had a line of kids jumping off of it. not sure that's the best thing to do, but he's the most fun guard, so whateva.
we had ashby, arden, and ainsley over, and then grace, and then mags, daniel, and joseph met us at the pool. fun times!
laney decided she'd like to hang out in the baby pool. i've already been reprimanded that an adult has to stay in the baby pool area, so i stayed in the gate with her and watched the 9 other kiddies. it was a nice day.

her faces kill me.
before the pool time frankie had recut her banged up knee and it bled like crazy. she looked so cute there being a patient patient, so i "snip snipped." (alexis)
laney has been "doing laundry" for me, which in 2-year-old talk means washing windows.
they have discovered the joy of spray bottles and they have provided hours of fun.
here she is contemplating standing on the upside down bucket again, even though i'd told her not to several times. she said "go away, mom." she's getting to be such a big and sassy girl.
this is a terrible picture because of the door being in the way, but i love when my kids help eachother. it's heartwarming.

aaaaand finally, a girl and her lovie.
heaven help us if we ever lose the lovie!
i had my first pta meeting as the pta treasurer last night too. i managed to print out the report jamie sent me and present it to the board without too much blundering. this is a job that will require many, many hours and i seriously question my thought process in volunteering for it. but i think it will be great once i figure it out. until then... oh my.
oh my!

Nothing defines relaxing as much as a day at the pool does. I love how the pool's water was clear. It must've made the children's pool experience a lot more fun for them. Laney looks so adorable in her orange striped swimsuit. Anyway, I'm guessing everyone had fun for the summer. All the best! :)
