Bradley Beach Tears Walk

On Sunday morning we got up and drove to Bradley Beach. It is a beautiful little beach town, so different from the NJ beach where our hotel was.

There were a lot of people at the walk. It was nice to be there, and also so sad to see so many families that have been affected by the loss of so many precious infants.

This mascot totally had the hots for Lexi. He totally came up to her (and only her) and hugged and posed with her. He was like "take a picture!"
Alli had these shirts made for each of us, and also Tom-Bon and Anthony. The front says our relationship to Harvey (Harvey's aunt) and the back has a picture of Harvey's fox and says "Harvey's angels."
Even baby max got a onesie. (:
We walked on the beautiful beach for awhile before the walk got going. They had these really cool book boxes on the beach. I love this idea! Take a book if you'd like one, leave a book if you have an extra. So cool.
Before the walk got going they had the butterfly ceremony where they read the name of each baby and gave out a handmade butterfly. We mailed it to Tom-Bon.
They were also able to donate a bench for a memorial. The Tears Foundation helps bereaved parents with expenses related to losing a child. It seems like a really awesome foundation.
After the walk they released butterflies. We actually missed this part because it was on the agenda for later. But as we were walking to our car we saw several butterflies still flying around.
It was a nice weekend to honor and remember our little angel baby.
Alli plans on participating every year, so hopefully we can too. Also,Bonnie is starting classes to become a still birth doula. This little boys life has meaning and has, and will continue, to affect many lives for the better.
Harvey's angels, yo!
