on wednesday, july 24 the kids went to youth conference bright and early. lexi was not excited, christian was a little bit, but both were very against having to leave their phones at home. but they did! and they both had a fun time.

alexis was in jodi and wade buxton's family, so i got all these pictures from jodi. this was lexi's family. :)
her ankle was still bothering her...
so little brother offered to carry her.

unfortunately i didn't get a lot of details from the kids, but i know they had fun and i know they felt the spirit.
they went to all the sites in palmyra, new york. add to that our nauvoo trip and the kids have had a church history kinda summer!
sacred grove? i think...
they had several dances, a service project, and of course all the sightseeing.
joseph smith's home... i think. i want to go to palmyra and now the kids can show me around!
i'm very grateful for all the leaders that made this trip possible. even though they fight it, i know the kids enjoy these trips, and i know they are worthwhile.
next year is trek so i'm already trying to convince lexi she needs to go to be a big sister.
we shall see!
