as we were coordinating reunion details i had sent some ideas of things i would like to do, and asked if any others had ideas. jeff suggested a white elephant gift exchange. it was on!
they decided to choose wrapped gifts and keep them wrapped until everyone was done choosing. different...
we had a good time choosing, and the kids that were still awake helped ever so much.

this was a true white elephant where people brought things from their houses to exchange. at least, most people did. some people were so busy planning reunions that they didn't have time to come up with 4 white elephant gift ideas (matt, me, lex, and chris), so papa helped out. he had white elephant gifts aplenty.
amy was the proud recipient of a papa gift. these lovely "diego" vests from kuwait, for when you just need 25 pockets, or to go on safari.
taylor was another proud recipient. she won an old hawaiian shirt that papa had outgrown.
as soon as tay took it off, laney put it on.

tjn got one of our gifts - 15 of lexi's fundraiser candy bars, all wrapped up. kill two birds with one stone, i say. support the fundraiser and give a pretty rockin' white elephant gift. he was pleased. :)
matt won this little diddy. and when i say classy, i really mean classy!
look out, this will make a great white elephant gift in the future...
