miscellaneous

these girls love technology. oh heck, we all do. i'm thinking we probably need a little less, and it probably needs to start with me. why do i always have to be the example? ;)
(loving the outfit, addie!)
because it's hard being the baby.
i love addie. i love how her eyes get red after swimming cause she's such a little fish. i love all the weird faces she makes. i love her quirky little self.
one day addie set up laney and her little mermaid for a photo shoot.
the iphone finger, happens to all of us.
 this was the original setup.

 but she's a squirmy model.
i think it's precious that addie is setting up photo shoots already.
5 years old!
laney is now officially allowed into nursery, but a month ago that wasn't the case. that didn't stop matt from dropping her off anyway. yup, we snuck her into nursery early. and she did great!
this last week she was a little whiny during the first 5 minutes, but then it was all good!
no more sunday school/rs baby entertaining! i'll just borrow someone else's if i ever start to miss it.
tom and bon gave me this little bit of loveliness to thank me for planning our family reunion. there is nothing about this i don't like. i love the color, the cut, the lighthouses... it is awesome and i am sooo stoked for the weather to cool enough for me to wear it!!! ugly sweater contest winner right here!!!
we still love our benzies. the other day i was late for my dr's appt so i had lexi meet me at the office and she drove the big truck home with the little girls inside. she said she was nervous and addie was talking her through it. she was saying "just act like a grown-up, sissy. i had trouble steering my car one day too, but daddy helped me." she is so sweet that she was trying to help lexi feel good and safe about her driving!
and they're off!
frankie's summer uniform - 2013.
little miss creative made herself an outfit one day. that's nude construction paper right thar. and then she had me tie a ribbon to hold it up.
it's creative, you gotta admit!
rainbow!
also, in north carolina we saw a double rainbow! and then we all spent 10 minutes being the double rainbow guy. it was pretty amazing though!
we've spent a lot of time at baseball parks this summer.
 so fun!
after papa left maryland he headed south to uncle dave and aunt fran's house in florida. two pea's in a pod!
they went down to visit grandpa and grandma's memorial. i'd like to go there someday!
on the day that grandpa ray came into town (july 28) i found myself sick, sick, sick with the worst cold i can ever remember having. i'm totally the type to work through a cold, but this was a doozy. aches, chills, headache, sore throat, completely congested, it was awful. after a sleepless night i stayed home from church. and then matt had to go pick up grandpa, so he took frankie with him and sent me these pics. i didn't actually see them until i got some dayquil in me and could actually open my eyes.
yay!!!
i didn't feel very good for several days. grandpa needed to do some shopping since he's lost so much weight, so matt took delaney with him so i could rest. he's a good guy. and the kids were great too. lexi said i only get that sick about once every 7 years, so they were super helpful. i felt okay in nauvoo, but as we started heading home i started getting headaches. my head throbbed every day, my jaw and shoulders were sore, and i had no juice. i know, wah, wah, wah! but it really wiped me out. that's why i've had so much time to blog, because i felt so sick i didn't want to/couldn't go anywhere. anyhow, i finally broke down and went to the dr and he suspects a sinus infection and started me on antibiotics. and where my headaches were starting almost as soon as i woke up, now they're not starting till the afternoon/early evening and they're not that bad. so ready to feel well again! being sick is a total pain!!!
we got these cute puppet socks in nauvoo and frankie wore them around the house one day. :)
why do my girls love climbing on tables?
amy, jackie, and autumn got me a roomba for my birthday! i've been wanting one forever and i am so stoked! chris helped me set it up the other night and then we sat on my bed in amazement as it vacuumed my bedroom floor. today i set it up in a & f's room, then laney's room, the upstairs hallway, and then when everybody went to the park the front room. it's not perfect, but it's pretty darn good!
and finally, it has been so nice and pleasant all week!!! i love crisp, cool days!!!
other things:
*we had some fun missionaries over on sunday.
*on monday lexi and i went to the fall sports parent night to get all our cheer info. good fundraising news! it looks like of the $225 due for camp, we'll only have to pay about $20! yay!
*on tuesday i took the girls to a fun lunch bunch at christina's. we celebrated alecia and my birhtdays. christina baked a yummy cake and shelly brought us sweet gifts and we got to visit with friends we've missed.

it's been such a fun and busy summer! and i am not the least bit sad for it to end. and i'm not desperate for it to end either. it's like... perfect. it's like a sequel to a good book, it's been good, but i'm ready for the next chapter. it's gonna be an exciting year!!!
