last night was an awesome thunder storm! seriously cool.
this morning was another good one. both the seminary and elementary crews got up and off on time. addie was even the first chic at the bus stop!
oh excitement!
but alas, we don't know our bus stop very well yet, and an eager little 2nd grader came and stood on the crack, which he then explained to us is the real line. i said something to the effect of, "oh addie's just a kindergartner and she was so excited about being the line leader today," you know, since we got here first and all... said 2nd grader just shrugged and stayed on the crack. then my little sweetums said "that's okay, he can be the line leader." take that, 2nd grader! and goooo addie! proud mama moment. :) oh, and check out the frog, she was so ready to sneak on the bus! she so wants to be a big kid! she keeps saying "i want that dress!", "i like those shoes!", "i want to ride the bus!" it's good to be excited about school, i guess. :)
we had a trip to the calvert marine museum for their sea squirts program planned, which i told frankie was for her preschool. we even drove our green bus over there. ;)
*delaney enjoys some shakey egg music.
and timid, i'monlygonnasitonmamaslap girl enjoyed it too.
laney and vera love shades and phones, and almost threw blows about both.
the program was all about sharks, so here frankie is feeding the shark a bean bag fish. most of the kids walked up and put the fish into the shark mouth. not our froggy. she threw it from where she was. and it only took her two tries.
short mermaid. :)
after the program we met up at the park nearby and planned out our preschool coop. i'm teaching first in september. frankie is going to love it! (i hope!)
lexi got stung by a wasp as she walked from the portables into the school. then her teacher had her go to the nurse because the sting looked red. (this is all lexi's version) then the nurse had her lay down because she looked pale. then she checked her blood pressure, which was super low, and so then she called me to say i needed to pick alexis up. only, i was enjoying throwing fish beanbags into shark mouths, and didn't get the call. so then lex texted and said she was fine, i called the nurse and she said that now she was fine, and i guess lexi's been fine all day since. that girl! i asked the nurse to please reiterate how important it is to eat a good breakfast. and i've decided i've got to make her eat before she leaves for school. oh, that girl.
after school i drove chris over to forest farms to lifeguard at their pool. they are only open afternoons since school has started, so he can still work there. my little worker boy was the first to arrive, so he walked up, put in the code, got the key out of the lock box, and started to set up the pool. my baby boy!
another good day at school!
laney walked up to her and said "addie!" and addie reached down for a hug. precious!!!

i had a presidency meeting at 6:30. matt got home at 6:45. i got home at 8:30. matt went to get ready for bed at 8:45. he's working in dc for these two weeks, which make for even earlier mornings for him. someday i'll see my hubby again. grandpa's still sore, lexi's feeling better, chris had a good day at work, and we're all ready for friday!
