time for the check-ups

wednesday was a busy, busy day! alexis, addie, and i left at 10 to pick up my rx and do some couponing at cvs. then at 11:30 alexis had her 17 year well-child, and addie her 5 year.
addie was so excited for her dr's appt!
and ugh, sometimes they print out appointment summaries, so i've gotten out of the habit of writing down heights and weights. i honestly have no clue how much addie weighed or how tall she was. oops!
that's a happy big girl!
she was the perfect patient! she was even disappointed to find out she couldn't get her chicken pox vaccine because they were out of stock.
lexi, the almost adult helped to fill out her physical forms for high school sports. and she didn't even do like christian did, which was to say "i need your help filling this out. i've never broken a bone, right mom? i've never had a surgery, right mom?" it must be hard to not know anything about your own life. ;)
i do remember lexi's weight! because she's lost 10lbs in the last 2 years. she's weighing in at a whopping 99lbs. they're a little bit concerned, but just talked to her about eating healthy foods and more frequently. just like they do every time. i wish i could give her 10lbs, i'd do it gladly!
addie got to do the vision test again this year with cj, our favorite nurse.
she did a great job, 20/20!
then it was on to the hearing test. she loved it!
she was very serious about the whole thing.
she looks great!
i think my favorite part of the appointment was when they made alexis and addie walk around the exam room.
and balance on one leg...
then the other...
it was pretty funny for me to watch lexi laughing and addie so serious.
other than her weight we also found out that lexi still has traces of blood in her urine. back to children's we will go. we first went out there in 2010, they said to come back in a year. so then we went in 2011 and they said to come back in 2 years. and now we'll go back this year. i wonder what they'll do now?
addie might have been disappointed that she couldn't get her vaccine, but lexi was devastated that she could. she cried and carried on like she usually does. cj tried to play his cute game, but she was having none of it. she was like "i can see the needle! i know you have it in your hand!" and he went pow! and it was done. she still cried though. she is soooo crazy!

after the girls appointments we swung by our house to pick up christian and do some in town back to school shopping. grandpa stayed home with napping little girls so we could shop quickly and efficiently - yay! we went to ross, old navy, marshalls, and kohls. the kids didn't need much and we were able to find pretty much everything that we needed, clothes-wise. while we were at marshalls addie said "mama, can i borrow your phone to take a picture?" and here it is:
we rushed home to drop alexis and addie off and then it was off to christian's appointment at 3:30. he weighs 127 and is 5'7. dr miller thinks he's not done growing yet and christian is praying he's right!
20/20 vision, yay!
we like dr. miller. he's goofy and teases and he is very thorough. and chris looks great!
after the appointments we had about 30 minutes before i left to take chris and asa out to henderson's for a scout fishing excursion. lexi went to her very last 1st day of high school cheer tryouts. we ate dinner and then grandpa and matt took the little girls for a walk while i picked boys up. busy day getting ready for school to start!
