Point Lookout Beach

Monday was Chelseas birthday and she invited everyone to a beach day at Point Lookout. on our way to the beach we checked a long time bucket list item off- we stopped by St. Inigoes market to check out their awesome varieties of sodas.

Everyone had fun picking out their favs. Even baby bug excitedly picked a root beer, even though she didn't drink it. Addie picked a vanilla, franks an orange, and I opted for an agave vanilla. Yum!

We carted our full loads to the beach and found our spot. It's a small bay beach, but it's better than nothing!

Frankie positioned her orange soda just so, and wanted me to take a picture of it. And also, shortly after we arrived it started sprinkling. It was a cool day and the light rain felt good and there was no lightning.

I made Frankie get in one with her soda. (;

So many friends showed up! Around 30 kids and 10 adults.

I made Texas Sheet cake and we sang happy birthday to chelsea.

We all laughed because it feels like I invite people to things all the time and it's always just the same few people that show up, but there was a really great showing for Chelseas birthday invite. I think I'm gonna take a break from the invitations for awhile.

The breakers keep most of the jellies away, which is pretty sweet for Maryland water in July.

Fun loving mommas of some pretty lucky kiddos!

Some people brought boogie boards and Frankie had so much fun trying to catch some waves.

Brave girl!

We got ther around 10:30 and ended up staying till 4. It was just so nice and the kids were all being so good!

They were so happy!

They could have played even longer and we all had to draw ourselves away, it was such a nice, pleasant day!

Steve helped the kids build sand castles and dig moats. It was every kids dream.

The Point Lookout Lighthouse isn't the prettiest, but she's a cutie, and we got to swim in the shadow of her all day long.

We love our little haunted Lighthouse and it was so fun to be out there, it's been a long time!

Little miss thang was asleep before we left the park.

We got home tired, crabby, and with sunburned legs. For fhe we talked about being steady like a Lighthouse instead of turned and pushed around like the sand. And then we all went to bed early, tired, but happy.
