On the 3rd of July

To fully understand the events of the 4th, we need to cover the 3rd. It started out innocently enough. We had the Streeter girls for the day and went to the library program at LES. It was all about animals. Here little miss smartie pants was prepping to tell the presenter "we had a rattlesnake, I mean a Gardner snake in our yard."

They were having to show their listening ears, or something.

See? Look at that frogs good listening ears! She's serious about it.

Afterwards all the brave girls got to pet the animals.

After we decided to play at the park since we had lots of friends with us. Frankie continues to be all over sweet baby isla. Such a little mommy.

We hadn't played for very long when Addie let out the most frantic, blood curdling cry. I don't do maniacal crying too well, but when I'd calmed her down I was able to asses that she'd been stung by something. She's been stung by a bee several times and she said this was a lot worse, so we're thinking maybe a hornet or a wasp. Her finger got red right away and after a few minutes there was a white spot where she'd been bitten.

After that initial craziness she was fine. We proceeded with our original plan to stop at the library and then on to the pool. But that wasn't the end. Dun, dun, dun...

On a funny note, I was reserving a parking spot for the 4th and asked Frankie to write down our license plate number. She illustrated the whole thing, little creative girl. She miswrote a few numbers, so I feel comfortable posting here.
