Cascade Falls - Part 2

Delaney is just so... extra. I don't totally know what that means, but I think I'm using it correctly. My teen slang has seriously suffered having the big kids off to school. I'm borderline not cool anymore. (;

Anyways, D was pouring or something, as per the norm, and I was having a face to face with her. Then I grabbed her arms and shook her (playfully) and told her "I love you! You can't be mad! I love you!"

After a few shakes she smiled and all was well and happy.

She hated wearing her tennis shoes while they were wet, so she wore the big water shoes Lexi had abandoned. They were super big, but she was happy.

Good friends make the world go round. Seriously.

And then these love birds, I tell ya.

We sat and enjoyed the Falls for a long time. It was really pretty.

The girls loved playing in the water and climbing the rocks. It was a little nerve wracking, but no one hurt themselves at all, so that was good.

The crew for the day!

It was hot, but not unbearably hot.
These two had had a little tiff, so tensions were high...

Until Romeo carved their initials into a tree. Nothing says I love you like defacing a state park. 😂

More fun with the gang.

There were lots of paths intersecting and diverging. We thought we were going back the same way we'd come, but when we came out of the Falls area, we were all the way down the road.

My pics are out of order (not that it really matters) but when we first arrived, we crossed the street (away from the Falls) and crosses a fun suspension bridge.

The girls were nervous, but they powered through!

It was a fun day. I'd have loved to have stayed longer exploring the Falls, but anytime you've got a long drive to somewhere, you know you'll hage a long drive home too, so we were off. Being a newlywed in vacay is hard work!

Cruising in the jolly green for the last 8 1/2 years.

Jodie had recommended Bobby's Burger Palace which is in the casino at Arundel Mills mall, so we decided on an early dinner there.

It was pretty tasty but expensive. We got milkshakes too that were also pretty yummy.

A fun summer adventure with our peeps!
