Arboretum

Brenna bought Chris tickets to a nationals baseball game for his birthday, so the whole gang drove up to suitland to take the metro on April 18. (Laaaate)
We had fun riding the metro, and then said goodbye to the big kids for their baseball fun.

The rest of us headed to the arboretum, but on the way we made a pit stop at the museum of the American Indian to taste some of the fry bread from their delicious eatery. It did not disappoint.
In our six years here, we've never been to the arboretum, and it was so cool!
The grounds are beautiful!
We spent a long time walking around and enjoying the different flowers and plants.
Pouting?
Addie insisted on wearing these purple velvet gloves. Fashionista.
Franks, always the model!
Ok, maybe not always.
And late to the party, miss delaney ray.
We took tons of pictures, and I swear I narrowed them down!
This one was a pout, but I don't remember why. That's not bad that I still take the pouty picture, right?
Matt took one to show Frankie that it wasn't so bad. (:
Inside the arboretum was even prettier than outside!
There were tons of photographers with all their gear set up.
It was "raining" on us and they thought it was so fun!
We all loved these long ferns.
Matt liked this Welcome to the Jungle, I mean "jungle" sign. (;
If you haven't visited yet, I definitely recommend it! It's a really cool experience!
Here they are walking around a second story overlook thingy. (I'm sick, my brain is foggy)
Overlook thingy again. (:
And looking down.
The tulips were in full bloom outside, and it was just gorgeous!
They're working on the Capitol. I loved this big bowl of flowers.
Part of the crew!
This was just parts 1-3 of our fun DC day, there's more to come. We've also made a goal to visit DC once a season. Seems doable, right?
