We woke up early to try to beat the traffic heading home. Darcie and Steve got up and sent us off with a bag of brekkie goodies and drinks.
We stopped at Peach World and got bread and magnets and Adi got a sweatshirt because she loves peaches!
Delaney and I were the only 2 who would put our heads in the peach.
We sometimes shop on our jams, nbd.
We stopped at the worlds busiest Buc-cee’s for lunch. It was even busier than when we drove down. There was a *huge* line for the bathroom, but in true Buc-cee’s fashion, they had 3 employees directing traffic (there are at least 40-50 stalls) and the line went super fast.
Papa accidentally ordered a giant can of chili and made us take it home. We talked about Flat Stanley’ing it and taking pictures with it everywhere we stopped, but we forgot. I made Frankie and Adi run back and grab pics before we left Buc-cee’s. 😂
We hit a few pockets of traffic but mostly managed to pull over and miss the worst of it. It got progressively cooler as we drove and i ended up borrowing Adi’s peach sweatshirt at one of our traffic stops.
We love the new Nice Bridge! It’s bigger and feels safer and more sturdy. The day we drove they were dismantling the old bridge and it looked so tiny and creepy.
I made Frankie get a video too. 🤷♀️😂
And finally, after our long adventure it was so good to be home. And we finally remembered our giant can of chili again. 🤷♀️ Two pictures are better than nothing.
