Another day

The girls looove Jeanne and Christian’s cats! Delaney is holding Dorothy and Magnolia is in the background. And I’m not sure who likes the laser pointers more, the cats or the girls.

We spent the morning/afternoon home. Jeanne and I didn’t sleep well, so we napped. I ran. The girls watched movies and went to the park. Then when jeanne headed to work we went lighthousing!

We drove out to Tibbet’s Point. This one is open Friday-Monday until this Monday, when they’re open 7 days a week for the summer. Unfortunately, at least online, they’re not actually open Friday-Monday this week. They’re closed till Monday. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

It was still fun to see.

So I encountered the girls truly terrible lighthouse + person picture taking in Florida, and I remembered today just how much they have to learn. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I hate the lighthouse coming out of the head (1st shot), they never say when they’re gonna actually take the picture (2nd shot), photo bomb and a down below view (3rd shot), and back to lighthouse coming out of the head for good measure on the 4th shot.

Idk, they were all just awful. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

The coolest thing though - there are several lighthouses off the coast here and they have a pay telescope with all the info about where to point the telescope to see everything.

We all got a chance to see the islands and lights up close.

We saw this beautiful lady - the East Charity Shoal Lighthouse.

And this Carleton Island Lighthouse. Such a cool idea to let people be able to see more lights! I’ve never seen a telescope on a point like this before.

#2 and #3!

Delaney was itching to put her feet into the water, so we walked down the stairs and it actually wasn’t as cold as we thought it would be.

Then F and D begged to go out on these big rocks.

Thankfully no one fell in.

Then Frankie wanted to get on the next rock out.

By the time we left they were both hopping around.

The water is so clear!

A few minutes down the road was the Cape Vincent Breakwater Lighthouse.

They moved it to this spot by the village municipal office building for all to enjoy.

Bubba thought he’d be hilarious - lighthouse coming out of my head.

And finally, a normal shot. Also, I cannot keep ma hands out ma pockets when I’ve got a dress or skirt with them. Like every other dress wearing lady, I love the pockets!

Cape Vincent is the cutest little town! We grabbed some ice cream and had a potty stop and then popped over to Ulta to say hi to Jeanne. Then 5 Below for some camp secret sister shopping and finally made it home around 8:30.

We were going to bbq, but it was so late that bubba and Frankie picked up some Little Caesars instead. We gave the cats some catnip and watched them be silly then off to bed. Adi wants a brekkie in Canada tomorrow, so we’ll see how that goes!
