Bonnie's sister, Hope, had gotten the lanterns and it was so neat. Seriously, pictures don't do justice to how special an evening it was and how neat it was to see all those beautiful lanterns floating up to heaven.
My mom had found a song called "Clouds" by Zach Sobiech. he was a teenager that passed away from cancer earlier this year. Tom played it and it just added to the specialness of the evening.
Tom and Bonnie sent the first off, and then after everyone sent theirs up, Tom lit another one.
It was so sweet to watch my little brother.
This kid has been amazing. I am so impressed at the man that he is becoming. His strength and grace have been so inspirational.
We decided that we will all, wherever we live, all across the country, send up lanterns for Harvey's birthday each year. I'm looking forward to sharing this experience with my family.
Amy took this one. Pretty sure Harvey was there with us and that he was happy. Did he make an appearance? I don't know, but it's a pretty cool picture. After the lanterns we had a big family dinner at red robin. Delaney climbed onto this back ledge behind our table and loved it. Totally kept her occupied, which was sa-weet.
I enjoyed spending time with mi familia. I hated the reason we were all together, but it was really nice to be all together.
Reluctantly making friends with uncle Jeff. She can't resist the iPhone, gets her every time!
It was a special night for our family. We definitely love that little angel boy.
