Alki point lighthouse

We left Tom/bons around 1 so we could get delaney down for a nap before dinner with dan/chan. We hadn't gotten far though before delaney was asleep. So we adjusted our plan and decided to drive out to West Seattle to check out the Alki point lighthouse.
It is coast guard property and the buildings connected to it are a coast guard commanders home. I knew it wouldn't be open, but more than that, it's completely inaccessible.

Can you see it back there through the trees?
We walked around both sides and this was as close as we could get. It's surrounded by water on two sides, this fence up front, and someone's yard + fence on the other side. Super bummer.
And she was so pretty all dolled up for Christmas.
There is only a small window of opportunity to tour this guy, (sat & sundays from June-aug, from 1:30-4, fyi) so I hope we can fit it into our next, as yet unplanned trip.
I wanted to get some pics of laney with papa, but she was having none of it.
She's been so good, just not very friendly, which is frustrating when you want to show off how sweet and smart your kids are. Oh well.
We will be back cute Alki point light, we will be back.
