Last day together

I drove to church this morning, through this narrow passageway. So now i can officially say I’ve driven in Germany. ✅

We visited our 3rd European ward today, and this one was my favorite. People were friendly, the bishopric gave nice talks, and the single adult ward that was having a conference in the building left Berliner donuts for everyone, and they insisted. Also good music, we sang Ring Out, Wild Bells and Delaney turned to me and whispered “this is a weird song.”

We came home, grabbed food and changed, then met the rest of the crew at the zoo.

This is Germany’s oldest zoo and one of the oldest in Europe too.

I love giraffes, and wanted a picture of Delaney and max with them, but max doesn’t always cooperate for pictures. He hasn’t been broken by my picture taking yet.

And then we found out that one of their names is Max.

They had this amazing playground that the kids could have played on all day. Only the zoo closed at 4, so we felt the need to hustle a bit.

We loved all the buildings with different cultures. There were German houses, Native American totem poles, and Asian and Moroccan style houses. It’s a pretty zoo.

You can’t see it, but the sign has a picture of them distinct rock formation on it.
