Rainbow Ellie Sparkles and gang were found playing cards this morning. She had been leaving Hanukkah gifts each morning, so she needed some fun with her friends.
We tidied up, ate some oatmeal, and got everyone suited up for some snow fun. It’s definitely a million times easier with bigger girls.
The girls had fun sledding in the yard and building snowmen.
They also shoveled some neighbors sidewalks. #lightingtheworld

While the girls frolicked, I caught up on Christmas ordering and got things sent to the nieces and nephews. So many small details to keep Christmas running smoothly.
We went to our last piano lesson before next weeks recital. The girls are doing so great and are excited to perform. They’ve been practicing mostly on their own, especially Addie. Christmas miracle? We talked about Lighting the World for fhe and ate the extra chocolate chip delight that was leftover from my work party that had to be cancelled because of the snow. We love snow days and are ready for more!
On Saturday Carolee and family had a party. It was fun to go visit and eat yummy food. She’s getting ready for a big birthday, and Mike surprised her with a cake and birthday poster.

Ah, the rigors of ordering Christmas Gifts over the Internet. In my day, you bundled up, trudged through the snow, hooked the team up to the family wagon and rode to the country store. Then you hauled it all back, put the team back in the barn and trudged back to the log cabin where you had to wrap each present and then, the next day, after chopping wood and hauling snow in and melting it for drinking water, you repeated the whole process to take the presents to the Post Office, also in the Country Store. Whew!! It was arduous and time-consuming work. No wonder we all drank to excess.
Love the Elves and the memory scrapbooks. Also, now I'll have to plan a day out with the cameras with Frances. Nice shot, there.
Looks like your Christmas is moving along quite well. Not like back in my day but . . . it's your Christmas Story.
