Gingerbread, carols, and shopping

Yesterday was the big 1st grade gingerbread making extravaganza. This thing works like a well oiled machine and is so fun. Get in, make a big, gross mess, get out. 30 minutes, boom.

My last 1st grader. 😩

The girls 11th hour piano posters. Frankie’s We Three Kings.

Delaneys Up on the Housetop.

And addies Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy.

This baby bug didn’t feel well one night and took over my spot. When did our baby get so very long?

Sunday was our last Linger Longer for awhile. We’ve had them every month that we’ve had late church and i love them. And i love late church. Big sigh. Matt was put in charge of this LL, that was also a Christmas party for our ward. Alecia volunteered to do a game and we were able to work together to pull off a fun event. We sang carols, listened to Christmas memories, and played together. All in the still beautifully decorated cultural hall.
After LL cleanup, i picked Maggie up and Matt and I went to my work Christmas get together. It was a dinner that had gotten snowed out the week before, so that was a bummer. But we were able to meet some of the board, and since tutoring is a pretty solitary thing, it’s always nice to get together.

This pic, I don’t know?

Saturday morning Lowe’s trip with mom and dad requires a book for reading while walking. Also a peppermint milkshake from chicfila.

In a year she’ll be 8 and won’t have to tag along with us, but I’d like to think she’ll still come sometimes. She makes it fun.

We picked up a toilet, vanity, and tiles for our almost done basement. Can’t wait!

Those girls have an eye for art. And is that cursive on Addie's poster!?! If so, kudos!! It's like learning a foreign language these days. Parties, upside down girls and getting the last things from Lowe's. Life is good.
