Piano all the way

Yesterday was our Christmas Piano Recital. Johnna has had the kids make posters the last few years. I went in search of poster board Sunday morning and couldn’t find any, so I was ready to skip this years poster contest. But daddy brought home poster board after school on Monday, so they worked, worked, worked on them to be done in time. I finally got to read more of Swallows and Amazon’s to the coloring crew. It’s a super cute story and I love reading to the girls.

Little Miss D “fell asleep” in the car, so daddy carried her into the church, and did the most logical thing - laid her under the tree.

She was so nervous! Even though this recital is v casual, she wanted to dress up in her Christmas dress. She looked so precious and tiny up at the big piano. I missed one page of The First Noel, so we decided to cut that short, (she didn’t grab her music when I asked her to, so I did) and then she made only one mistake in Up on the Housetop. We are so proud of her!

Frankie did awesome too! Her 3rd Christmas recital. She played The Russian Dance and We Three Kings. She decided to go for casual dress, and mamas been too tired to care.

And Addie has blossomed this year! She’s amazing! She practices on her own and is playing some really tough pieces now. She played Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies and Angels we have Heads on High.

Johnna does door prizes and the poster contest prizes. Frankie wanted to win so badly! (we didn’t)
All the kids did a great job. We’re so lucky to have Johnna as a teacher. She’s got the patience of Job with the kids!

I actually remembered to get individual shots of her with each of the girls this year. What, what!

It’s fun that we are friends with their teacher too. They love her.

This is Addies 5th year of piano lessons.

Mama and daddy with the baby of the family. We love our precious girl.
