Community Christmas Concert

We had our 4th Community Christmas Concert on the 15th. I did the food, Tracie did the decorations, Sarah did the music and performers, and Chelsea assisted each of us. It’s such a lot of work, but what better thing could we be doing with our precious December time than sharing the light of Christ in unity with our neighbors?

Tracie’s magic transformed the gym into a wonderland. She also made these cute kid packs to keep the littles occupied.

We had a very small budget, so we got all the food, and most of the decor donated. We asked for 40 dozen cookies and several veggie, fruit, and cheese platters.

Love these ladies and their willingness to jump in with both feet and get to work. We spent many hours planning and setting up. It was such a blessed evening.

We’re hoping next year to get even more involvement from the community. It’s a cool thing to see how this is expanding and the vision is being fulfilled. My favorite part of the concert is the last song, when all of the performers - the Latter Day Saints, Catholics, Episcopalians, Lutherans, and community performers all come together to sing. It’s just magical and I just know Heavenly Father is smiling down on us.

Sarah sent this shot of Frankie with one of her absolute favorites. The girls all sat together in one row, and I didn’t have the heart to make them sit with our family separately. So I took Ellie and Laney and let the bigger girls stay with their friends. Somehow Frankie fanageled Isla and she weals stoked.

We’ve got big plans for next year and how to achieve an even greater vision for this little concert. 💕
