Shlagel farms

What a good day! We checked out a new strawberry picking farm for playgroup this morning.
We loved it! So many more, juicer, and bigger strawberries! Made for such nice picking!
Delaney was my best picker too. Baby sistah showing up the big girls.
I made each of them take a turn picking with me.
As soon as I got Addie started on tasting the berries, she was hooked. The whole rest of the day she'd play, go pick some strawberries, eat them, go back to play, go back to pick more strawberries, and repeat. Fiend.
Frankie took at least 15 minutes to pick 10 berries. Such a lil' cutie. (;
We left around 9 that morning and swung by Aina's to pick them up so we could carpool. Schlagel farm is in Waldorf, so it took us about an hour.
But I think we're sold on it! The strawberries were delish!
That's 10 lbs of strawberries and a lot more pounds of hotness. you know that's a joke.
After we'd picked our hearts out we headed to play. This one was infatuated with the chickens.
Stair steps.
Friendies!
We stayed till after 12:30 and on our way out we had to get a group picture. 4 moms, 11 kids. What a crowd!
After strawberry picking we went to cafe rio for lunch.
Sarah brought a coupon for bogo and it was delicious and fun.
Delaney got offended about something and pouted for a few minutes. 3 year olds.
We got home around 3:30 and so tired! Thankfully I'd put a roast in the crock pot so dinner was easy-peasy. Daddy got home and Laney-bug borrowed his shoes. Love!
Chris gave us a wonderful FHE lesson. He talked about elder L. Tom Perry's recent death and how in priesthood they had talked about how important apostles last conference addresses must be. Then he shared parts of his last conference talk. Then Lexi taught us to play 8 Down. It was a nice variation on our usual hide and go seek. I loove those precious moments when all 7 of us can be together happily building our family up. And chocolate covered strawberries for treat. (:

At bedtime this happened:
My baby is spending her first night in a big girl bed!!! Aghhhh! This is not something I am ready for. But I had to strike while the iron was hot. :/ one of our neighbors was selling a really pretty bedroom set for a great price, so I jumped on it. Then we had 2 beds and a dresser in our front room.

So many options! Sell one bed, store it, let Chris use it (he's still on the futon he thought would be a great idea back when he was in 8th grade), or put it up in d's room. Then there's the room configurations. Should Delaney keep her own room, move into the big girls room with Frankie and let Addie have her own room, move Frankie to delaneys room and let Addie have her own room, and on and on. For tonight we've got both beds set up in delaneys room, but Frankie is still in the big girls room. delaney has come out at least 5 times, and when, during an awesome thunder storm tonight our house got shaken by the world's loudest thunder, Matt and I went in to check on her and she was standing in the middle of her bed, terrified. It was pretty cute, poor baby. We'll see how "operation big girl bed" plays out tomorrow.

And in the great room swap of 2015, we got the ugly recliner. It is an ugly thing, but soooo comfy! And Matt wasted no time getting cozy.
Matt and I enjoyed the thunderstorm tonight. What a wonderful day!
