thursday and friday

Thursday morning my two little helpers and I got to take alexis to see our new dr. only, she's leaving the practice so now we get to have another new dr. have I mentioned how sad I am to have left our old dr? ugh.
such a little poser.
it's not always fun traveling with these two in tow. especially in small doctors offices. all's well that ends well, and we left with two rx's, two lollipops, and a referral.
addie had her second to last piano lesson of the 2014-2015 school year. she is playing "Beauty and the Beast" and she loves it. that night I met up with carolee and pam from the pta. all year we have hung out after our meetings to chit chat, and all year we've talked about going out to eat together one day. we finally did and had a nice evening. it's been a good and learning year and I am looking forward to helping set up a new pta at our new school.

on Friday addie woke up with a sore throat. it was a cws, and matt and I both thought we should keep her home. i'd been texting one of our neighbors about getting Frankie together with her daughter, and she came right over with a bag full of essential oils for addie. she put some on her throat, feet, and spine, had her gargle some with water, left, and then came back with her diffuser. such a sweet lady! and addie's throat has not gotten any worse, I think we are looking pretty good.

I went over to Laura's and we canned all the strawberries we'd picked into jam. they were very ripe and sadly our jam didn't set. now I get to go back over tomorrow and redo it all. :/ we each had 10+ pounds, so it was a lot of work, a lot of washing, and a lot of disappointment that it didn't turn out. oh well.

at 5 we went over to mike and kims for kim's 40th birthday. mike threw a surprise party and it was totally fun. he went way overboard so there was tons of food and tons of prizes and candies for the kids. he bought a huge bag of ring pops and I thought it was hilarious how all the kids followed him from the kitchen to the living room to get their pops.
they also got fireworks, so before we headed home we all went to their back alley and the kids took turns helping light them. we came home with a whole pizza, chicken tenders, veggies, cake, and tons of little glowsticks and toys. my kind of party. mike and kim have 4 little ones, all matching our kids ages except for their oldest. we're bus stop buddies and i'm so glad we've gotten to know each other so well the past 2 years. next year will bring a whole new experience as we won't be waiting for the bus together every day with our new school. exciting!
