Day #226-#227

It’s been so foggy lately! Alli and I have been running in the mornings and we come home with wet, dewy hair.

Looking through old blogs I saw this picture of cute Addie and Abby. They’ve always been goofy friends.

Delaney has always been so jealous that Frankie gets to tutor with me. She’s always wanted to join us, but she hasn’t asked for awhile, so when she finally asked this week, I decided to let her. They took turns answering and it was a fun hour.

On Wednesday night we had the sacred opportunity to go to the temple to be there with Dee when she received her endowment. We were so excited! We were able to borrow my dads space car because we have 2 old cars and Matt needs to change something in our oil pan but the part got delayed. It was nice to save on gas and ride in style. We stopped for a delicious Mexican dinner date and made it to the temple right before 7 for an 8:00 session.

It was amazing being back in the temple with a tiny group of dear friends.

It was the Callihan’s, Nelson’s, Brown’s, Dee, and Sarah Osmond, wife to Nathan Osmond - Donny and Marie’s favorite nephew.

There were around 4 temple workers and that was it. It was so special and sacred.

Such a beautiful night and I’m so grateful! We left the temple around 10 and headed home. We had an easy drive, which we were thankful for because there had been several nights of protests over another police shooting in Philadelphia. As we left the temple, a member of the temple presidency told us to not stop until we were out of Pennsylvania because  they had announced a curfew while we were in the temple, and we were out past it. We made it home around 2am, tired, but happy.

Also, Christian had an appointment he had to get dressed up for and stopped in to Crabknockers, where Mike admired his sharp suit.

With their matching rain boots. Mike is an interesting guy, not the best role model, but he loves Christian and thinks the world of him. Mike has overcome a lot and is a successful business owner, so there is a lot to be respected, even if there are still a lot of rough edges. Those are often my favorite kind of people.
