Summer 2018 Day #70

We had to say goodbye to family and make the long trek home. It’s a beautiful drive and we find fun where we can!

We swung by Kentucky on our way out of town.

Only Frankie wanted to take a pic with us.

We always kiss when we cross a state line. The girls “hate it,” and also remind us anytime we forget.

And then we popped into this awesome little General Store where we had way too much fun. πŸ€—

Grandma (Frances) Seagrove always had circus peanuts. I always think of her when I see them!

Our Frankie with grandma Frankie’s fav.

I don’t know what Dixie Loaf is, but Forbus’ has it now!

We were taking so many pics the sweet lady working the register offered to take one of all of us together. We loved her accent, and she thought we were pretty awesome for being from Maryland. We are pret-ty special. πŸ˜‚

I can’t remember, maybe a “take my picture, mommy!” shot?

Who knew they still sold these? πŸ˜‚

I love fun little traveling stores.

We’ve driven the Jolly Green from sea to shining sea and just about everywhere in between. We love her.

Matt got himself a pecan pie because that’s what you do when you shop at general stores.

She had to have been surveying her tongue color.

We stopped at a more modern truck stop.

Then Matt and I did some shopping. I’m a big advocate of trying on hats at truck stops. What could go wrong?

Matt got a workout.

And we enjoyed some delicious lunch wraps courtesy of Lea and Brad. Perfection.

When we got home that night we enjoyed these 3’s handiwork.

They decorated our whole house!

Pictures everywhere! It was SO fun!

Only the best of friends know your garage code and sneak into your house when you’re out of town. πŸ’•

It was a super fun surprise!

This cute guy was just a few hours behind us as we drove. He must have been coming home from summer sales.
