that afternoon we all met up at the beach.
this little lady has been pretty patient with all of our vacation comings and goings.
she's such a sweet baby.
she's even taken a few quick beach catnaps.
this little girl loves playing on the beach, just not so much in the water.
she'll get there.
and these 3 girls love their daddy.
there was a really fun sandbar on our beach.
we stayed out there for hours and hours just playing in the waves.
alexis and josh even started naming them. there are football waves - ones that crash before they get to you and powerfully hit you, and ballerina waves - ones that haven't broken yet and that just kind of spin you around. i prefer the ballerina waves, thank you.
that evening, matt took the girls home and took care of them and david fried some buffalo wings and threw some baked macaroni in the oven. laura and i got to stay out on the beach until they dragged us back home to eat.
then after dinner the boys lit fireworks for all to enjoy.

and it was another great day in kitty hawk!
