Hatteras beach

after the lighthouse everyone was hot, hot, hot. summer has finally arrived! literally, it was the first day of summer and it was hoooot! so we headed straight to the beach. luckily, it was just around the corner. :)

beach time is so fun, but a lot, a lot of work! and with our crew, everyone helps, even the littlest. 

totally worth it.

the beach was beautiful. we had read online all about how nice the hatteras beaches are. 

they've been rated in the top 10 american beaches by mr. beach. 

and they delivered.

everyone had fun playing.

even this girlie, who doesn't like the waves, but loves the beach.

and eating sand.

we also read that the surfing on hatteras is great, so chris took addie out to check out the waves.

lexi and i tried our hands as well.

i stood up for about 1 second. next time i'll go for 2.

we lugged laney's seat all the way out to the beach in the hopes that she would stay asleep.

she didn't.

seriously, we could play at the beach all day!

matt took addie out to catch some waves.

the waves were stronger than he thought they'd be, so he ended up holding addie all the way up over his head while he got pummeled.

then he and frankie played a game.

and repeat...

she just loves running in and out of the waves.

we played at the beach for a long time, much longer than the men thought we would. (or wanted to)

and laura and i could have stayed longer.

we decided our super couple name is lachelle. ;)

beach clean-up is a lot of work too.

totally worth it.
