after a rather disappointing time at the bodie island lighthouse, we were ready for real lighthouse climbing! so we were off for the 40 minute ride down hatteras to the tallest lighthouse in the country, whoot whoot!
we were famished as soon as we got there, so it was picnic lunch time.
subs, pasta salad, cookies, and chip. yummo.

the 3 little girls weren't tall enough to go in, so david graciously volunteered to stay down with them, and the rest of our gang was off!
as we started walking up, i started getting nervous. i really hate heights!
my fear of heights is probably second only to christian's fear of heights. the boy was super nervous!
