Scooby shack

(pictures are in no particular order because I don't know how to arrange them with the blogger app)

Our first day of vacation has gone swimmingly. We planned to leave by 6, but rolled out at exactly 7:18. Not bad for 4 adults, 4 teens, 3 kids, 1 toddler, 1 infant, and a partridge in a pear tree.

We made really good time and all went well. We traded kids back and forth and had a very pleasant drive. We rolled up here to kitty hawk just acter 1 and were able to get checked in early, woo-hoo!

Our house, the scooby shack, is sooo cute! Totally renewed my faith in vacation rentals! We unpacked and puttered and made our way down to the beach, where the waves were crazy and loud and strong and fun.

We ignored the big red "no swimming" flags until around 5 when the lifeguard finally came over because we were making him nervous and there's actually a $250 fine for swimming when you shouldn't.

BBQ chicken, taboo, and movie night tonight.

S'wonderful.
