Christmas Eve 2019

Today was a busy day from start to finish. The high was giving Matt his early valentines/ birthday/Easter/anniversary/Christmas gift. Bishop Henderson has accidentally been sent an extra UAV, and Matt really wanted it. I didn’t tell him no, but I didn’t encourage it, because hello $$$. Then I had a change of heart, so i reached out to Henderson and picked it up today. It was fun surprising him and he might have cried a smidge. It was very sweet.

Delaney and i made spaghetti with homemade marinara and garlic bread made with mayo instead of butter. It was super delish and she’s a fun little kitchen companion.

And now for some fun catch up. We finally made it out to Flat Iron Farm on Christmas Eve. I couldn’t handle another dinner, so dad bought pizza, and we headed out.

It’s been years since we’ve been there, and they’ve added to their displays.

They now have bull rides.

And three of our crew took the challenge.

Matt really wanted to ride.

He was on there for a minute and then the operator called Frankie over and asked her if she wanted to push the extreme button, which she did, and Matt was promptly, and violently, thrown off (he was fine).

I forgot that I was wearing my light-up ornament earrings. 🤦‍♀️

Goats are cray.

They added a cute little lighthouse! And a blurry D photo bomb

Emmett would have loved this tunnel. Made me miss him so much!

When we got back home d went all in on her Christmas jams. Opening presents is so fun.

I got them super soft jogging suits instead of pjs. They wear them to bed too, but also around the house. They all loved them.

Our Christmas Eve crew, 2019!

Silly time!

We made a lemon meringue pie and a banana pudding for Christmas desserts, so we left Santa a piece of lemon meringue. It was good, but could def be better. We ended up throwing away a third of it. And that’s just because we’re not quitters.

We stayed up way late waiting for girls to get to bed. The girls were up so late thag the saw Santa fly over Maryland  none of them necessarily put 2-and-2 together, not that any of them still believe. But it’s fun to try to believe
