Mariners v Nationals

I love going to baseball games and seeing the Nat’s has been on my list for-ev-er.

Dan and Chantell invited us because the Nats were playing the Mariners and how could we not go and represent Seattle!

They brought us Scandinavian delicacies - see the giant pretzel above - and we parked for free at one of the military bases a few blocks away. It was perfect!

We were way the heck up there, but that doesn’t matter to me.

Delaney was super unimpressed with the idea. She sways she’d been to a Blue Crabs game and she was good. I was like, no, no, no little one. Major league games are so much better!

The stadium is beautiful! They didn’t have garlic fries which is one of our Mariners favs, but it was still fun.

The girls each got a free kid pack of food with a hot dog and chips, and then everyone got a little treat.

It was a little on the hot side, but otherwise perfect. It was a low scoring game so the innings went quickly, and even though our mariners lost, it was still super fun. Even grumpy Matt and Delaney had fun!

After, we walked down by the water and saw this funny car-boat.

We found a little wading pool so of course the girls went bananas.

As soon as Delaney’s big toe touched the water I knew she was going to get drenched, and I wasn’t wrong.

See? To her credit, she didn’t complain once.

Chantell and I walked to order pizza for dinner and passed a cute family eating this huge seafood platter and asked where they got it and told them how delicious it looked. We ordered our pizza, and as we walked back they told us they were done and asked if we’d like the rest of their giant platter! They said it was expensive and they didn’t want it to go to waste. It felt weird, but we thanked them profusely and then our little garbage pail kids dug in and killed that platter! We ate everything but one blue crab, mostly because we didn’t have any tools and Matt had already broken into and enjoyed one. It was so good! We chatted with that family a bit and they were so kind and friendly.

It was just a fabulous family day. So glad Dan and chantell live so close and come up with fun things to do. 10/10!

One normal shot in the middle.

Because when you’re with a bunch of Rays someone’s usually gonna be making a dumb face. 🤣

And as we walked back there was a restaurant and street named Jackies. For my Jackie dad. ❤️
